Venetian Resort: Las Vegas

18 Jun

What better than Sin City for a post-grad trip?! The last time I was in Vegas, I was barely 17 and therefore, sin city was not so sinful. This time around, we stayed at the beautiful Venetian Resort on the Las Vegas boulevard strip. First let me say that I do not gamble, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the Venetian but everything else was awesome! The gondola rides, the beautiful Venetian decor, the swimming pool, the remake of the St.Marks square, the concierge, the dining options, the list goes on and on!

Once you finally leave the resort complex you find the hotel is well located on the strip. It is opposite Treasure Island Casino Resort and just a short walk from Caesar’s Palace Resort and all the other major resorts of the strip.

Fairmont Southampton Hotel at Bermuda

17 Jun

Staying at this hotel was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had. If you are planning to go to Bermuda and are wondering whether to stay in Hamilton or Southampton, definitely stay in one of the hotels at Southampton. You’ll have miles of pink sand beaches at your doorstep and you can always go to Hamilton for the restaurants during the day.

The guestrooms are very spacious with at least 450 sq-ft with a private balcony and marble bathrooms and walk-in closets. The hotel also has the famous Willow Stream Spa and an 18-hole Golf Course. There are complimentary ferries to the sister resort, the Fairmont Hamilton. My favorite, the Dive Centre, also offers snorkeling and off-shore diving services at the hotel’s private beach.

Here are some photos I took around the hotel. Enjoy!

Bermuda Aerial View

16 Jun

Two months ago in April, I was extremely stressed out and worn out and needed time to get away. I thought, why not go to Bermdua? I managed to take the friday and left for the weekend to Bermuda. Bermuda is a British overseas territory located just a two-hour flight away from Baltimore and I have wanted to go for months. The Airtran direct flights are seasonal and only operate between April and October. Here are some snapshots I took before we landed! Enjoy.
